
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has accepted the invitation of his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh to watch the match of the Cricket World Cup semi-final between Pakistan and India in Mohali on March 30 .
According to official sources, Prime Minister Gilani informally meet Manmohan Singh during the match and a formal meeting will take place after the game where bilateral issues will come under discussion.
It is expected that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Gilani also discuss cricket diplomacy to improve bilateral relations.
Officials from the Ministry of Sports and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will also watch the match at Mohali.
Meanwhile, presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said Pakistan welcomes Manmohan Singh’s invitation to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to watch the Cricket World Cup semi-final in Mohali.
Manmohan Singh Friday called on President Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani to watch the India-Pakistan match in the semifinals.
The match will come a day after the secretary level talks between the home country on March 28-29.
