AMARANTHE – 82nd All The Way (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)

In the draft of 1917. A man from Tennessee. Overseas to the trenches he went from the land of the free. Into war he brought two things along, a rifle and his faith. Join the ranks as a private, assigned to 338th. There on that day, Alvin York entered the fray. Saving the day. 82nd all the way. Into the fires of hell, the Argonne, a hero to be. Entered the war from over the sea. Intervene, 1918, all the way from Tennessee. Hill 223. When his faith has been put to the test, the call to arms he heeds. On the 8th of October he went, made a sergeant for his deeds. Fearless, leading the raid of the war, machinegun on the hill. Charge the enemy taking the prisoners, by power of his will. There on that day, Sergeant York entered the fray. Saving the day. 82nd all the way. Into the fires of hell, the Argonne, a hero to be. Entered the war from over the sea. Intervene, 1918, all the way from Tennessee. Hill 223. What Sergeant York achieved that day. Would echo to the USA. It’s 82nd all the way. Death from above, what they now say. What Sergeant York achieved that day. Echoes from France to the USA. It’s 82nd all the way. Death from above, what they now say. Into the fires of hell, the Argonne, a hero to be. 1. Wrong!!
Bring back Jake and ditch the present singers. Jake had the power and stength in his vocals compared to the current ones.
And Elize's angelic and pitch, blended perfectly with Jake's vocals!!!
Why do you have one gifted female vocalist, one sub-par growler and one mediocre singer when you could have:
One angelic god-divine female vocalist and one god-divine clear and masculine male singer!?!?!

  2. I wish you were touring with Sabaton here in America, but at least your still coming here with Battle Beast. See you in New York

  3. Just for production value i need to see more of this with sabaton members too. Just recording together and playing a bunch of sabaton and amaranthe songs that are of a similiar tempo together like this. Behaving in the video like this as well lmao

  4. If you use historical events the facts should be correct. Alvin York was part of the 328th Infantry Regiment and NOT the 338th! AMARANTHE make your homework ^^

  5. That song sounds like an original (I'm not familiar with Sabaton) and fits perfectly.
BTW, very nice studio with great stuff.

  6. I love going to concerts and get tickets for eny now show and I have seen inflames so many times I lost track of them

  7. Eliza ryd your voice is powerful to and with your band it's still strong so keep up the good work okay so won day I can see you play some

  8. OMG Becky! look at her junk.but do not listen.if this is best 80. songs of 2020. then I'm getting in my time machine and. trucking my ass to 2021 and pray that someone got it right .or at least refused to play that gay ass 2020European metal.1980 was 40 years ago and that type metal sucked then too..

  9. No offense, i just was on a concert with Amaranthe – Apocalyptica and Sabaton as the main band, and i am not really sure i approve this version, sorry, the original is so much better that this doesn't even compete in the same league :/

  10. It's impossible to not smile watching this video. Great Sabaton cover and it really work with a Amaranthe-sound, I honestly like this version more. And everyone is just goofing around and having a blast shooting the video.

  11. ugh. nuclear blast records suck ass, and them making her use a voice toner is a bunch of shit. shes very talented, these people dont appreciate her.

  12. I have to admit I wouldn't have listened to the original I if not for this. It is a great song and I now have to say I like something by Sabaton, lol. Amaranthe did an excellent job of adapting this to their 3 lead style. Both versions are supurb, TY for the cover.

  13. I love both bands, but I don't feel like Amaranthe's style works with this song. Maybe it's just that I'm used to Joakim's blasting vocals.

  14. As a joke – I want my friend's grandma to call me "Alvin York". My name got mispronounced and I'm now known as "Alvin" to my friend's family.

  15. Hill223. During Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Old school soldiers often refers to hills with hill's highest elevation point. Instead of using local names or map names. Since in WWI and II, objective was taking of highest point of area in question, it made recognition and rally points simpler to find.

  16. I had my suspicions on who they were singing about, Then they mentioned that he became a sergeant. I was like, "I know who this is". It's such an awesome story too. I highly recommend the movie too.

  17. So large and powerful , orchestrations are perfect , Everyones vocals are perfect , Elize sounds awesome and is fun to watch her antics , Well Done Amaranthe , Well Done , I am a new fan and am loving your sound , keep up the good work ! Love from South Carolina !

  18. Sorry, but no amaranthe. Didnt really bring much of anything but your own sound. Next time dont just purely cover the song

  19. One think is to hear Sabaton do this song and the great lyrics and back ups to it. But as a former infantryman in Div, this shit just makes me laugh. Keep to your soy filled music and let the big boys from bands such as Sabaton do this type of music. Also fuck YouTube for ruining one of the best songs from Sabaton with this BS.

  20. Sgt Alvin York, Medal of Honor recipient:

After his platoon suffered heavy casualties and 3 other noncommissioned officers had become casualties, Cpl. York assumed command. Fearlessly leading seven men, he charged with great daring a machine gun nest which was pouring deadly and incessant fire upon his platoon. In this heroic feat the machine gun nest was taken, together with 4 officers and 128 men and several guns.

  21. saw them in antwerp together with sabaton. First time hearing of them back then. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM FUCK THEYRE AMAZING
