and independent cinemas That’s why Barco developed a projector that

for sure the launch of our new small chip projector the DP2K-10Sx which is dedicated to arthouse and independent
cinemas It’s a brand new platform being put through
a real intensive live-test at Berlinale At the Berlinale 2013 the projector will be
used in different cinemas for the Berlinale goes Kiez section
which presents Berlinale films in a different neighborhood-cinema every day The Barco DP2K-10Sx projector is small and

because it is a very compact and simple system When the Berlinale turned 60 Dieter Kosslick
asked me to create a birthday present to these kind of cinemas and to the audience and so
we created Berlinale Goes Kiez We have a flying red carpet
two screenings at each Kiez Cinema with a team and it was so successful three
years ago that now we are in our fourth year The projector was also used at other sites
of the Berlinale for the screenings at the smaller studios of the European Film Market With the Barco DP2K-10Sx projectors
art houses can now also enter the digital era As it offers crisp image quality at an affordable
price it opens up a bright future to the independent
cinemas Berlinale Direktor Dieter Kosslick says: “There
