  10. So…the last time I had heard this song was back in 2014, I was in college, and I was with a girl and we were climbing at our school's rock gym. I was belaying her when the song came on, and it was just so perfect because the lyrics were "I can lift you up; I could take you where you want to be," which is exactly what I was thinking. She had been afraid to be belayed, but she ended up trusting me that day. The female climbing instructor said to me and the girl as I was belaying her, "He can take you where you want to go." Well apparently the girl did not listen to that, because she dumped me not long afterwards. I honestly think that she was afraid of losing me because on one of our first dates I had been climbing all over rocks that we found and she got scared and told me to come down but I didn't really listen; she had lost her dad at a young age, so maybe she didn't want to lose me and so she could no longer be around me. Which is sad, because I liked her so much I even wanted to marry her—but our relationship was cut short. Every time I saw her after that her my heart would flip out and my mind would race and I would wallow in despair…well, five years later I still think about her from time to time but it's more like a pleasant memory with a hint of sting rather than the sharp pain that I felt for several years afterward. I liked her so much.

Then, I just heard this song a few days ago when I was visiting my dad in Seattle, it came on the radio as we were driving around, and I remembered what had happened five years before.
