  1. I don’t get misty..this one pulled heart strings. A true hero shows us how they overcame their vulnerabilities, they remain transparent even when they don’t need to be. Being a father of 4 girls and being very engaged in their lives I know there we times I was wanted but not there. Thanks you sir for being hero enough to be transparent…Salute…

  2. Shit, this hurts me. My sis and her babydad using me to watch her 3 boys. I'm being more of a parent than them. I feel like a lion trapped in a cage. I know they don't care or love me. They neglet their own kids. They don't raise em right, or give em any attention. I hug them and i cry. They see me as a ticket, because deep down they missing some shit in the Past and they can't let go. God is telling me to leave. I told my sis, but not her baby father. It's like I hate him. They wasting my dreams and goals. They got me by strings. We don't conversate and its true. ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. I kept it quiet, till now. I just want them to realize what they got before it becomes a memory on the wall. Fuck man why did GOD make my heart so big? Somebody tell me.

  3. This is perfect timing since I'm about to have a son in December and have three other children who I love as mine. In a time where Black fatherhood is taken lightly we need more brothers like Common Sense to show the beauty of it. His daughter look just like him and I'm looking more forward to my baby boy being in my arms.

  4. Common sense making lot of sense, this is more than music, this is history, reality, emotions, and humanity.. probably the best song on the album with good morning love

  5. Enjoy your children while they are children, nurture, teach, love and play with them now while and if you are able to do so,because as we all can very well see time is not playing, and its something we cant get back,so take advantage of it.Love yourselves we dont stay young parents forever,we grow as they do.

  7. Fathers, if you still have an opportunity, be there. Be present. One day, God will call us home. I will for the rest of my days show my daughters that I love them, and that I care. Thank you Brother and Sister for the wake up call.

  9. Humbled and taught by the child. Hits in a way ive not really heard adults speak about in song. Soulful, reflective album bruh. Well done..

  11. This song speaks volumes to my spirit, my heart just cried out for my dad; he passed away a year and a half ago and my life hasn't been the same. our relationship got stronger once I got older, but then he was taken away from me. Common this song is everything and I will pace this all the time😒❀️

  12. First time in my life my Father lives in my city. I’m 51 and this took me all the way back to a little girl….πŸ˜‚

That last line… "And now my daughter, is now my teacher with love." amazing bro! Thank you for the reminder! My little man is my whole heart and definitely one of my greatest teachers along with you and hip hop!!

  16. If just one person reads this, it'll honestly make my day. I'm an artist from Jersey & I know people write this all the time but I believe I'll be the one you'll be happy you listened to. If one person could give this a thumbs up, you'll be one step closer to helping a man's dreams come true. I swear I don't suck and you won't be disappointed. Just give me one chance and 3 minutes of your time. Thank you

  17. I love that he's strong enough to show he's vulnerable side….respect and blessings to him πŸ˜˜πŸ™πŸ’–πŸ‘

  18. Dear Common,

I was born in Madagascar surrounded by my oldest sisters and brothers. They showed me so much Love in my little childhood.

Then, I had to leave them with my mother to Switzerland where my father live. Many things changed. I learned sadness, hate and loneliness. Anger became my only motivation through my life here.

And after long years, I became again the man I supposed to be. An honest heart like my brothers and sisters showed me. I thank God must of all, my family, my ex girlfriend and the Music.

I thank you for your love to the people and to be the father you are. Songs like this, give me more strength to fulfill my dream to be a father.

I hope to have a little daughter and maybe a lovely wife too. You deserve billions of listeners.

  19. Common reminds me of my children's father. He even remade Blue Skies… We would listen to him together too! Anyway, I pray my children and their dad strengthen their relationship.

  20. Actions πŸ’ž speak louder than words πŸ’ž Beautiful surrender to express humility as a parent. We try but sometimes we fail. We get back up again…for it takes a Village to raise a child. Humility asks for help and support plus acknowledges mistakes then tries at it again πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’ž Show me that you LOVE me… Show me that you CARE πŸ’žπŸ’žπŸ’ž

  21. It's funny how most of these famous people are loved and adored by strangers and then their own Partners and children can't stand them because they're mostly not around catering to their fans

  22. wow. is this oficial video? thanks comm, you make my life way better for good part of 25 years, and I still never met you:( I wish

  23. The humility and humbleness that he shares is something we all need to strive for as parents. Parenting is a learning process.

  24. Tears still rolling as if I didn’t already contribute 1000+ views to this.

Common, thank you sir! Opening up yourself so that we might take a closer look at ourselves. Beautiful video that captures it all. Blessings πŸ™πŸ½

  25. This song spoke to me… I will never experience a father and daughter relationship cause my father was absent from my life throughout my childhood until he passed when I was 18
