During the Film Festival, Milwaukee feels different. The connectivity, the enthusiasm, the excitement. It’s such a special experience. When you have audiences filling that house, it’s like nothing else. Their festival has grown so much in the last couple of years. I’m thrilled to introduce the director of “Pet Names,” Carol Brandt. Thank you all so much for coming and filling seats. Fifteen days of the Film Festival, 80-thousand patrons, over 300 films, seven screens throughout the city of Milwaukee. There really is no holding a candle to the Oriental Theater. It’s one of the biggest and most beautiful theaters I’ve ever screened a film in, and I think that’s really a treasure that Milwaukee has to offer. There’s such a diverse experience and culture at our Film Festival. I think we’re on the verge of doing extraordinary things in Milwaukee with film.
