HOW KISSING PUT ME IN THE HOSPITAL (pictures)

I am probably the only youtuber who can leave YouTube for such a long period of time and still come back and have SH*T eyebrows All that it’s busy. Ah, yes. I’ve been away three weeks and now I drink sparkling water exclusively I’ve become boujee in the time I’ve been away. I also apparently forgot how to wash my hair. So There’s that. I’m making a YouTube video because I ran out of money and so I needed some assistance say Ads. why can’t you just be cute? So I’m just sitting on my floor because I’m going through a bunch of like my clothes and stuff I’m just kind of like trying to clear out Things that don’t fit kind of like old shoes that I don’t really want anymore You know gotta get get the selling going gonna make some money somehow because I can’t work this summer. So and That leave me on to the tea Okay so my friend Josh is currently in South Korea and he was originally in Vietnam and then he was like shall I? and then I Said do it and then he actually did it. So I may end up going to South Korea by the end of the week So ads I’m gonna go through my clothes and we’re gonna have a little catch-up as to what’s been going on. Hi. I’ve had a really rough Past few weeks. I unfortunately, sat my exams and During my exams. I started to get incredibly unwell like to the point where I don’t really clear what was going hot on like I would I would sit in my exams and like It just wouldn’t make sense. It was like I was trying to sit an exam in Spanish and No me gusta towards the start of the exam period I was like I know this this is my stuff I’m gonna nail that literally from my first exam like a couple of days before I started feeling really like tired Korea understand was gonna I thought I’ve ever worked myself you know before the exams are even started and I literally just thought what it was is that it was just a combination of like stress and exhaustion and I just basically been Burning the midnight oil not like eating good enough foods. Just kind of eating junk food like snacks and just not taking care of myself Yes, so my first exam went terribly and as you probably were aware if you follow me on Instagram Plug, haha. I cried like for the rest of the day I was devastated I was excited to sit that exam because it was my jam It was 40% of my history grade and I felt like I couldn’t even understand What was what I just wasn’t with it and I was like, okay fine Obviously, maybe it’s just because first exam it’s just stress. It’s pure stress because first a level you’ve sat, you know You just got overwhelmed, but there was still this like feeling of total exhaustion Like I was just like I’d run a marathon and then had to run another one And then had to sit an exam and I’m and I’m if you’ve seen me run, I’m not a runner. I Look like a baby the baby duck Trying to so The exams continued and the stealing just got worse and worse and I ended up in this situation where I would like Sleep all day and I’d have an exam the next day, but I couldn’t Physically get out at bat and my neck started hurting and my my bones started hurting like I had weights attached to my muscles and every time I tried to move it would be like It was it was awful it was agony I was in a lot of pain But obviously I had to like sort myself out because I still had exams to sit like these exams really important and like I can’t do the course I want to do if I Don’t get the grades and I was so consciously aware of that Like if I mess this up like that, is it so silly? Keep going keep her in through keeping your exams bla bla. And I finally just like it got to the point I just couldn’t I couldn’t understand any more from my second-to-last exam in my last exam I had like four days and I was like, oh my god I have four days just a straight revise this one exam and then obviously because I start feeling unwell by the time I had that four days I literally slept that was it I Couldn’t I couldn’t revise I physically could not have the energy and And and the strength to get out of my bed of advice I couldn’t move I couldn’t think I fell I just I can’t even explain it to you you don’t even feel it yourself, and I just couldn’t understand and so I went into my final exam and was like Final kick of like cortisol, which is optical stress I mean like the cortisol kept me going and then the adrenalin kept me going a super sad man came at me, man Got home And then it hit me. I’m like, I thought I had been ill and the minute I finished that exam It went like 20,000 times worse. I was I felt like I was suffocating It obviously all the adrenaline stuff had worn off and my body had just given up entirely and it was like it was holding itself out like that level of ill was my body trying to hold itself out and like the Minute the exams finished it was disgusting telling my mom. I was like something is not right I don’t feel right it she was like you’re talking yourself into where you’re you’re a hypochondriac, you know, there’s nothing wrong with you You’re falling bare mind my mum. I broke my arm once snapped it clean in half here. There was no bone here Nothing. It was just skin at my arm and could go like that, right? nothing that she tried to take me to the doctors the local doctors because she was like It’s falling it was snapped in half. I had two pins stuck in my arm to hold my bone together two pins Yeah, so literally I finished my exams and was like, okay fine. I’m gonna try and get myself out of this rut I’d really don’t feel right, but I want to post YouTube video so then I posted in my kpop react video with my mum and I really did not for a while and you could tell and like I said all my glands have swollen like in my neck and I felt so disgusting the elder in that video and I told mum I was like This is weird right the fact that my clams have swollen because I’ve never had my glands swell up before and she was like, oh You’re just you’ve eaten too much She basically tried to tell me that the reason that this was all really swollen and it’s still a little tiny bit swollen now Under here like oh my glands is because I basically had just been sat on my ass during exams. And eaten. That was it She tried to tell me the reason that this all You know Was because I was getting a bit Kirby She tried to tell me I’d grown a double chin in in a week Thanks, Shane and So mum still didn’t leave me at this point that something was wrong with me that I fell ill she thought I was just lazy and and Kirby just and then the next morning after I filmed that video I woke up and my eyes had swollen and they were like It was like this but like thick so they were like out here But with like this much visibility and I said to my mum like I was like, this is not right look at me It’s just like Oh mm. Hmm. Yeah. It’s a little bit wrong with you Turn me to the doctors and bear in mind I could barely walk at this point because I literally couldn’t get outta bed Like my mum had she freaking a cyst carrying me to the doctors. I couldn’t add with sunglasses because the light was so bad I was burning a fever and the guy like turns around. He’s like, yeah, you have mono I was like What? What um, yeah turns out I had the epstein-barr virus Which is mononucleosis, otherwise known as glandular fever And glandular fever for those of you don’t know is a nasty mother and you know, one of the main symptoms is chronic fatigue So basically I am I’ve been suffering from this virus for the whole period of my exams I bear my glandular fever For those of you who don’t know. Let me just Let me just spill the tea on grounds of the fever a little minute. It’s infectious mononucleosis Otherwise known as glandular fever is caused by the epstein-barr virus. Do you want to just hear some of the side effects So the disease often results in fever sore throat enlarged new clothes in the neck and extreme tiredness most people get better within 2 to 4 weeks, but the feeling of fatigue lasts for months The liver and spleen may also become swollen and in some cases may called splenic rupture Yes, yeah the classic rupture your spleen Classic glandular fever is is a sense like its is its You burn a fever You you have no energy like to the point where you cannot move Everything hurts you’re in agony if there’s any body’s on fire, but weighed down in this in an ocean of pain And then your your neck swells you get swollen glands like in your armpits as well Some people get swollen glands like in their crotch area. I didn’t in case you wanted to know crotch was fine. Um, Probably TMI there but you know, you’ve you’ve probably been missing me. So I gotta fill you in on the intimate details um and Obviously swollen eyes, which is really rare Apparently only like one in five people who had planned to the feedback get like the swollen eyes, and that’s like the final symptom I also had like extreme pain under like my left rib Which is where my spleen is if you are guessing where this is going not my spleen didn’t rupture But it was a little bit swollen mmm, you got had a blood test and it came back and it was like You sickest and the doctor said like how long have you been like this? and I said well I’ve been like this around three weeks now because I had my exams and I was sick during my exams and he was like You should start getting better and I was like, well this I sent him only came on yesterday Does this look like I’m improving to you and he was like, ah, no it doesn’t um So banter the doctor was like oh this looks like a very severe strain So not only did he go getting mono She got severe mono this done by half’s here on Albert’s Channel. You come to my channel expect to go hard That’s all I’m saying. Where am I going? Where would I be going where I would wear this bin bag convention. Come on girl It wasn’t great. And so he sent me home and he was like, there’s literally nothing we can do You have to just wait fever out. I kind of just had to like take painkillers and I hope they passed Not two days later Guess what happened? You girl ended up with a really really really sore throat so like I know just Shazzer as she’s been a reliable source for help during this whole This whole sitch and I said showers look I can’t talk and it was like this My neck was thrown about like this I Couldn’t talk and your voice kind of goes on this. Oh Oh you can’t read about That and it’s called hot potato mouth or hot potato voice And basically what happens is you can’t talk and I was like, this is not funny I’m in agony like actual agony swallowing hurts drinking hurts. I literally love struggling to eat I was like, this is agony. And I told my mom and she was like You’ve been a pussy And then I started not being able to swallow like medicine anymore no way And she was like, hey you’re busy it wasn’t until the third day of this agony that I turned to her I was like, please look at my mouth. There was something wrong in my mouth. I couldn’t talk anymore I couldn’t swallow my own saliva. I couldn’t eat I couldn’t drink so I was getting really dehydrated I was in agony and like Behrend I still had two glandular fever on top of this So I was like dying. I had no energy. I was like crippled And of course she was like Oh, Fine. So what happens is she gets out her phone She gets a little no flashlight on thank you so much Oh open up. Let me Evan. Let me have a look How about let me have a look. Oh Oh I kid you not this woman looked inside my mouth and I thought have sold I’d like her face went from this To this I I’m debating whether or not to put photos in of what my mouth looked like because I showed Meg and she gagged so maybe not essentially what happened is because you girl hadn’t gone to the doctor’s during her exams because she was trying so so Freaking hard to get through her exams to be able to sit them because I knew that if I went to the doctor is they would have been like you can’t do anything else and I needed to Sit these exams that needed to do well which in retrospect was a really bad idea Because I didn’t do that. Well, I’m assuming yes You know people who have glandular fever often take like a month off of work to lie in bed because they’re so unwell Not sit exams You know Manos no joke, so I was like, okay What’s up, Chazz? My tonsils were not pretty and Yeah, it was disgusting I’ll do a poll on Instagram now. I think I’m gonna ask you guys if you want to see my mouth or not and Depending on what you vote That will that will be the decider So then after she saw my tongue so she was like Oh damn, and I was in agony and I was trying to cry but I couldn’t cry because I’m so dehydrated so we then had to ring up one one one and On and get the out of hours doctor’s number So then when we got out of our sources, they were like, okay go to the out-of-hours GP She gave me some liquid antibiotics to take That should that should help the the Mouth situation so she gives me these antibiotics and she’s like okay away you go now child’s be free. You’ll be fine two days. Later Yes, who isn’t fine Elbert because you know The antibiotics didn’t work at all and didn’t help anything and the tonsils got worse and then I couldn’t breathe Banta Hilarious. I was choking on my own saliva So what essentially happened was the tonsillitis had got so severe that it was passed basic antibiotics and basic antibiotic dosage the antibiotics that she gave me did nothing to help me at all and So it just got worse and worse and worse to the point where like I couldn’t swallow anything I couldn’t swallow my own saliva and because of the glandular fever and because of everything else going on all of this was sweat like Swollen all the glands in my nose and my mouth and everything so I couldn’t breathe out my nose Which meant that I would felt like I was breathing through a straw constantly and I breathe like this It was disgusting so that my mum was like, okay, I’m kind of a little bit freaked out, you know albats over there Making it making a lot of noise as she she chokes on her own spit so she had to ring one one one again and they were like, um This doesn’t sound good so can you take her to Annie and my mum was like oh and a peak So we then go to the hospital So usually new to Annie you wait, like four hours I rocked up to Annie because I couldn’t talk because I couldn’t speak cuz I couldn’t breathe because I couldn’t swallow by this point I’m so dehydrated. My lips were falling apart They were like, okay, so I walked him to any like within two minutes they were like you know, so they get this woman to come in and like have a look at me and she looks at me and she’s like so then she calls ent which is ear nose and throat specialists and they’re like We don’t continue now and then the time it took for them to get an ENT doctor I literally who was blacking out cuz the pain Michie I think I’m set on this chair just blacked out and then like me put me on a ward like straightaway I woke up and they kept like drifting in that consciousness and they were like, okay Finally the ear nose and throat specialist came and she liked her Look at me was like this is really not good First thing we need to do is get like steroids in you to try and calm it down So then we can try and treat it So she rocks up with the cannula and she puts in a cannula on my arm because I can’t swallow And gets the fluids in I like she was on like four driven trips at one point It was mental to three hours later the steroids started kicking in and they’d given me an antibiotic dosage so I was having like 10 milliliters a day before when the GP saw me they literally gave me like 500 milliliters like on the spot and I felt so much better Starts, I could swallow. I was like heaven on earth Bertie and so I was put into a ward and I do not like Hospitals so I kind of was like look I can swallow now I’ll stick to the antibiotics because they gave me new ones. I was like, I’ll take these I’ll get on it fine And she said you have to be careful because obviously the glandular fever you’re so rundown anyway That like it’s gonna be quite hard for you to beat the tonsillitis Okay. Okay BAM. I got you. Don’t you worry two days later. Ladies and gentlemen Guess what happened the doctor that just didn’t come down we came back and he was pissed off. I was burning the fever Ridiculously high I couldn’t like move couldn’t think can see straight. I woke up I was getting like two hours sleep a night at this point, but I woke up. It’s like 3:00 a.m um, like covered perfuse Lea in sweat and because the Ganges fever felt like I couldn’t move so I couldn’t do anything I was so Delusional II so out of it because I’m so dehydration. My fever was so high despite let the pain medicine I for 45 minutes 45 minutes Was in a delusion so extreme. I thought I was in a k-pop group Kid you not for 45 minutes. I had a conversation with myself in my head, which I was convinced was with other people That I was disappointed in myself because I was letting the k-pop group down because I was acting I’ll manage it down I was letting the k-pop group down because I was sick 45 minutes. I thought that led on that bed. I’m not even Korean 45 minutes took like to summon myself out of this delusion and so after the 45 minutes I was like I need to I need to try and drink something and I didn’t have a drink I was out of it So I literally was crawling out. I went back to there. No energy. I walked across the corridor and I got to I Wanted to make three steps outside of my room and then I blacked out and I hit the ground hard ladies and gentlemen, and as as we’ve already discussed a problem with people with glandular fever is a swollen spleen and a damaged liver and you can’t do contact sports for like eight weeks after you had mono because You can rupture things and I hit that ground really frickin hard. And so I was like, huh? Guess this is where I die It’s just here on the floor. I’m convinced. I’m in a k-pop group and this is how I die Eventually, my mum finds me. I say eventually I was there for a long time Helps me back into bed and then fills me with drugs and then I’m pretty sure the next day I think worse again I mean, I know it’s hard to believe that it can go downhill from there But it did we then end up having to go back to any that that that that night or the next night at around twelve eleven Ended up getting seen it like one looks hideous I not seen by three different specialists this time because obviously it’s quite rare that someone Has glandular fever and tonsillitis and it’s hospitalized twice With the same thing after being treated with lots of antibiotics and lots of steroids and Everyone was like that’s supposed to do she place. Maybe this is natural selection Maybe you know, we just cut the court, you know, we cut our losses Not cute. They then gave me another cannula another drip which by the way, I’m still bruised from. Can you see that? Look at that bruise ladies and gentlemen nasty. They then gave me even stronger steroids And then more antibiotics like a ridiculous amount and then more fluids and they gave me more pain medicine I’m I’m poor man bless her she is she was awake all night with me. I think I think We ended up on a ward and like in bed, but at 4:00 a.m. I think So we had been up the whole night and I have been absolutely shaking agony and then so they kept me on these meds and then in the morning another specialist consultant came over and Specialists and a consultant I think that’s right. There were lots of them and they came over and they looked at it You know, it’s not good when the doctor looks at you and he’s like, oh is this? this is like you you haven’t been treated Yeah, right like Because you know that would mean that it was still pretty bad, huh, I open my mouth and he was like Just nasty so he was like wait this is this is like you’ve been treated already and I was like, yeah I’ve been I’ve been in hospital tonight, hon. I’ve been here before. I’ve been on antibiotics but like Dave now my man at home and I’m back here again. Help me help me out He then was like, oh you also have glandular fever on top of this which like complicates everything which it does Um, so he was like, this is not cute Um, and so then they gave me more medicine and said I’m not allowed to leave until I can eat which was It was tough because I hadn’t eaten in the water at this point Um, the other concern comes around and she’s like I want to give you more drugs before you leave to like boost you up So she even gave me more drugs and that like kind of really house because the steroids that they’d given me one the second time One as strong as the ones they’d given me the first time because it was skeptical, but give me 7 steroids But this time she then gave me a stronger dosage in the first one. So I had a lot of steroids make me muscle either which is really disappointing but then you know turns out there’s lots of different types of Stoics which is sad, but you know, I guess Chance for too much I just take six steroid tablets every morning for three days as well something all the medicines and antibiotics and like mouthwash and everything To try and like get on top of it. I’ve almost finished my antibiotic treatment now and as you can tell I’m still a little bit swollen But the glandular fever symptoms are definitely reduced like I can walk around now for like an hour without feeling like I need a nap Which I know doesn’t seem like much but I’ve been sleeping like fifteen hours a day My bones because I essentially was on bed rest for like like four weeks my muscles if I do that Huh because I haven’t used them So I’m trying to get all the strength back in my body and I have put on like quite a bit of weight which is a little bit straighting because Didn’t my clothes fit? But it is what it is Everything is basically just taking so much longer for me to get better because I couldn’t go to the doctor’s during my exams I couldn’t like mess up my exams It turns out actually if I hadn’t sat some of the exams But like I’d conserve my energy for a couple and shown that I could be a really good student I probably would have got my predictions as an average Words now, I might just be royally screwed so I’m gonna have to wait and see so if you’re wondering that’s where I’ve been Dying in hospital. This is the longest I’ve talked in a really long time and really got through many of these clothes You better promise me the most of you who aren’t aware though You can catch mono. Ok glandular fever Only through saliva and it’s often called the kissing disease because a lot of people get it through snogging Guys, I’ve kissed anyone in months. Do you know how to press him ace? Do you know how depressing is to have the kissing disease but not to have actually kissed anyone Exactly. Let that sink in for a minute. I’m not hurting inside you are. All right you are I know this was a really weird video and I’m gonna try and meet more now because I feel that now I’ve done one I can Kind of like know what my limits are with the videos But I kind of just had to explain like where I’ve been and what’s been going on. I felt like It was a bit confusing at some points some of y’all you like once You ever come back? I thought I’ve got quite through quite a few clothes here like I’ve done a pretty good job to be fair like We’re getting there We’re making we’re making progress that’s all so yeah, thanks for watching this really long and probably really boring video about where I have been and the Fact that I got kissing disease but didn’t kiss anyone. Um Maybe that should be the click better tighten up this video kissing put me in the hospital Only Remember I’m poor now because I can’t work all summer. So Help a girl out if you can Please Seriously It’s not even I’m not trying to be so help me so you know how it is Give this video cheeky thumbs up if you liked it. Give it a thumbs down If you didn’t it’s a free world you do you boo and I’ll see you whenever with another video really it just depends on energy levels and Money shortages I’m joking and kidding guys. It was a joke. It’s a joke. It’s a joke. I’m kidding so hopefully I’ll just start looking more and more healthy and everybody I make from now on hopefully this will come down a bit from It’s swollen glory and And hopefully we can all be friends still Even though I haven’t even seen most of your faces, which is kind of weird when you when you think about it Mmm weird. Anyway, thanks for watching gang. BYEEEEEE

  2. God I had that when I was 13! And i had horrendous tonsilitis (bacterial kind) when supposed to be taking my PhD viva/interview thing (~10 yrs later). Thank God I didn't get both together!!! Think meself lucky now. Was off skool at age 13 for 3 weeks or was it 3 months? Ages anyway! Went back to skool, couldn't do swimming lessons – sat on sidelines – and people thought I was faking it cos I looked normal…..till I just tilted my head slightly and you could see these Massive – I mean MASSIVE – swellings sticking out the side of my neck! "OKAY, OKAY…. put it away", they said backing away….

  3. I had the same thing my ex gave whatever that was to me twice I had to go to the emergency room. Its fine we broke up

  4. Deadass, I watched this when it first came out and I have finals this week, and get this: mono. Hopefully I don't get it as bad as you did 😩. My first symptom is the sore throat and you're supposed to drink stuff… Yeah wish me luck

  5. I feel bad for how much I laughed at this like I legit cried the whole time 😂but for some reason I was getting serious Catherine Tate vibes and I have no idea why

  6. I had mono a couple weeks ago and I'm getting sick again and I'm dealthy afraid of having another mono flare up

  7. I got a job at Starbucks and shortly after I finished my training, I started getting fatigued and tired in the same way. Eventually, I ended up calling in to my first couple shifts and the manager just told me not to come back. On top of that, it was my first semester at University (1800 miles away from my family and hometown), and I had a really tough semester in general. I found out during break while at home that I had mono. I remember getting into fights with my girlfriend at the time (long distance) because I told her I hardly had energy to call her at the end of the day especially when trying to manage all my classes. It was the worst 3 months of my life

  8. It’s not a delusion it’s hallucination 😭😂 Delusion is when you have an unpopular opinion and hallucination is where you see things like the kpop group 😭😂 love your videos! You’re so hilarious love you!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  9. 13:58 my eyes….my soul…..are u growing teeth in ur throat………fungus bich………
Ahhhhh (im sooooo sorry that happened to u)…….why……😱😱😱😱😱🤢🤮🤮(😊)🤢🤢🤮😵😵😵😷😷😷☠☠

  10. I just want to hug u sooo bad….😭😭😭. I soo sorry that u went through this……i imagine that shit is hell

  11. Ok no joke though elena, I feel so bad for u for going through this but I was cracking up cus ur just so entertaining 😂

  12. Weird! This sounds EXACTLY like what I went thru the last time I had the flu!…I even lost my job of two yrs cuz of it! It was horrible I don't even know how I didn't die cuz I was choking on like my own saliva…I wonder if I got misdiagnosed…

  13. OMG! those tonsils were real bad!!!! Like I'm not grossed out by that at all, its rather concerning…anyways, Im gonna get my tonsils cut off soon in a few months so yay!

  14. Just fyi I won't kiss my girl unless I get married and that maybe the last time because if she wants kids I'll do that and don't ask me what that is wait till your 20 or 19

  15. Hey everyone! Remember mononucleosis is very common and doesn't always end up as terrible as it is in this video. Virus causing it is carried by most of people, but sometimes when you're exposed to it for the first time you are sick and that's called a mononucleosis. It's very very common – many people even had it as a child and because it is very light when you're young, never knew it. Also remember virus doesn't spread only by kissing- it is in saliva so like sharing your drink or something could get you too so don't be afraid of kissing people lmao. Also once you are sick with mononucleosis one time you can't have it later its like once in your life

  16. I love how straight forward she is she's like
Hey hoes, I need money so I'm making a video, how are y'all?

  17. Mums are awesome, ain't they? I mean…mean…I MEAN…who else stands BY you when you're sick just in case you might need SOMETHING…ANYTHING?

  18. Like literally I don't watch this type of videos 'cause it bores the shit out of me but, this especific one is just….it's all, I COULDN'T STOP WATCHING

  19. wait but if you had tonsillitis from the mono it would mean the tonsillitis would've been due to viral infection rather than bacterial infection so you took antibiotics for literally no reason and your doctor is stupid

  20. plot twist

  22. when you said it was mono i said " oh I've had mono before" I had it in 3rd grade at 9 or 10 I ended up in the hospital because of it.

  23. Lol 4 years ago I had a tumour in my ear and they gave me antibiotics for a year and then they finally done surgery to remove it and fix the eardrum lol

  24. I had a similar thing. I have something with my kidneys called Nephrotic Syndrome. And i had a kidney infection, Strep throat, Glandular fever, and an infected cut on my arm. So my muh had to take me to the hospital and it was not fun. I didnt eat for 6 days and i couldnt swallow at all so they put me on an IV and that good stuff 😉

  27. the yoga teacher at my highschool (she's also a health teacher) she keeps telling us to not be drinking out of the same container after each other, and i can understand why (especially now after watching this) and holy shit

  28. I had glandular fever when I was at school. I had it for nearlly 3 months and it definetly sucks. It's actually alot more infectious then people think. The doctor told my mum that I shouldn't leave the house at all until I was fully better. I survived with Warcraft lol.

  29. I had mono in high school and it was the WORST. I told my dad that I wasn't able to go to school because I was exhausted and he didn't believe me either! I ended up in a recliner for 3 months drinking orange juice/sprite and eating mashed potatoes because my throat was so swollen I could hardly eat. My eyes were swollen too. It's just terrible.

  31. I once had to go to the hospital for a nosebleed that wouldnt clot for more than 5 hours when I got there and they had to stop it but when they called the ENT it took almost 2 hours and I choked 5 times on my own blood

  32. Me: Mom I watched a Jungkook oneshot
    Mom: ?
    Me: MOM HELP
mom: okay just get bleach and drink it
Me: IVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO THAT

  33. You’re hilarious I’m glad I found you 😂 I love how you act your experiences out when you’re not sure how to explain them

  34. I also got mono about a month after I started dating my first boyfriend. The funny thing was that even though I must have caught it after like the first kiss or whatever, it took it about three weeks to really spring into action and give me the symptoms. Going to the doctor after a week of swollen/sore throat and EXTREME FATIGUE, I got a "uh u just have a cold, here have some of these antibiotics". Two weeks later I literally couldn't get out of bed, had a high fever and red spots all over me – later I found out that those were caused by the antibiotics, cuz basically that's how mono laughs at ur attempt to get better w antibiotics.
In the end, it was my MOM who figured out it was mono, and not the doctor, cuz my older bro also had had it years before me.
I was in bed for three weeks even after that, so I guess I had the severe version too, although for me thankfully it was only cuz of the fatigue + swollen throat that didn't want to go away.
It was really scary, and left me super cautious about the people I kissed after that… Because now I could spread the disease as well 🙁

  35. So she went to the hospital and I was like “Oh it’s probably almost over.” HA NO ITS STILL GOT 10 MINUTES
