  1. One of the very hardest things to do as an artist is making your art for others to see, to judge, to critic, and worst of all, to ignore. It takes so much to be that vulnerable. It can be so painful to feel that sense of rejection/indifference.
At the same time, to have someone see your art, and resonate with it, is one of the greatest feelings in the world.
This whole scene is a hug for every struggling artist out there.

  2. I have NEVER seen ANY episode of the office but DAMN this almost made me cry. I am definitely going to watch it now. It just hit in a way. Everyone wants to be appreciated.

  3. Nowadays it doesn’t really feel like I’m good at much. Art is about the only thing that I kind of shine at. My art isn’t the greatest and people these days are too busy physically and mentally to notice art. I know this video is a fictional interaction but I can’t imagine how I would react if someone appreciated my work like this 😊

  4. God Micheal is so amazing, like he came in to show his support and that meant the world to Pam, while it was just a normal thing for friends to do for each other for him. He may be a dork but he has his good moments.

  5. I want a shirt that says “Michael Scott dad of the year” because he really was like a dad to everyone, especially Erin, but let’s not go there. 🥺

  6. God, whenever Pam smiled she went from merely beautiful to radiant. She has the smile that you can’t help but smile with her, and if the smile is for you, it just melts you

  7. I love little scenes like this with Michael that show us he isn't actually as insensitive as he comes off as. When everyone forgets about his employees, he's always there. Like, when Angela's cat died and he knows it was Sprinkles, because that was the one was in poor health, even though she had so many. Or when he's out in the wilderness and sings Happy Birthday for Creed even though Creed isn't there.

  8. When Michael is looking at the drawing, he's genuinely in awe
It's almost childlike, as opposed to childish like he normally is. He really is proud of Pam.

  9. I love the scene b/c Michael is actually sincere in his praise, as opposed to Roy who’s just there b/c he feels like he has to.

  10. For those who balled out the 1st time u saw this and love that feeling. I highly recommend YouTube searching "Dr. Who Vincent van Gogh". It's pure genius.

  11. People who have created something and had people ignore them or unnecessarily criticize it can fully grasp her emotions here. Being an artist of any kind is brutal in the beginning.

  12. The Office was brilliant but it started to go downhill after Steve Carell left. This is one of many reasons. I'm a big, sometimes ill-tempered, guy but this made me cry. One of those moments when you forget that you're watching a TV show.

  13. Moments like these, and the fact that Michael's sales skills do indeed keep the place afloat makes him an endearing character.
Otherwise, the show would be too ridiculous and he would just be annoying (albeit still hilarious).

  14. There's a touching moment in the next episode that for some unfortunate reason was deleted. It's just Pam siting at her desk and she is just quietly staring at her drawing hanging on the wall.

  15. The Office is not known for cheesy over-thought dialogues but every word hits so much because the characters on the show are very meaningful.

  16. This scene defined Michael's character from this point on he became a better man and friend to his employees and to Pam!

  17. The fact that this was after he was embarrassed in front of Ryan’s class.

Creds to whoever I got this comment from lol can’t remember where and who, but creds to the person who commented this first in another video.

  18. I'm just watching this amazing show for the first time, and so far this my favorite scene. Sometimes I hate Michael very much, some times I am very embarrassed of him, and sometimes I can't believe how stupid he is… but also I can't believe that despite all of that, Michael Scott is my favorite character in the series. He truly is unbelievably…human.

  19. Has anyone asked this before if not which office channel is the real freaking channel they both try to look so official. I feel like it's the other one because it has exclusive stuff like deleted scenes

  20. he was just trying to prove his point about papers being irreplaceable or something lmao

it was a sweet scene but michael wasn’t trying to be sweet

  21. Okay, please…if you dislike this video (?) can you please comment why? ….just reply to me…noone is going to like your comment enough i'm just SO curious as to how this isn't GOLD.

― Arthur Conan Doyle, The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes

  23. I loved this scene here. Tears man. He also had another father daughter relationship with Erin later on. But with Pam it was stronger and I wish they played on that even more in his goodbye episode. Where it should’ve showed Pam getting back to the Office and noticing Michael gone and she looks around and then sees Jim’s teary face and she just knows. Then the airport scene.
