Morgan Freeman Re-Enacts The Shawshank Redemption | The Graham Norton Show

talking of hit movies Shawshank Redemption are obviously Bono great one of your most yet it’s that sort of moving anyone put Serb you know best films of all time list together it’s always always on this always on there and yet that film has never been inked at the box office and the reason for that is of course is that the only real marketing movies get I think is word of mouth you can promote it all you want but if the first few audiences go there and come back and can’t say I really saw this great film then you’re not going to go very far though people went to see the Shawshank Redemption and they came back oh man I saw this really terrific movie it’s called the sanction shark one day they saw me in the elevator one time so I I saw you in the hudsucker production so you can’t get word across then it just doesn’t do well you know just you can’t see it hey why else we did well we got it is that the film that turned you into sort of mr. narration yeah a blur did because it’s so special that bad narration and now we have got a little kind of Shawshank mashup so would you mind lending your voice to what I do what okay I must admit I didn’t think much of Graham Norton first time I laid eyes on him look like a stiff breeze could blow him over that was my first impression of the man I could see why some people took him for annoying he had a walk and a talk that just wasn’t normal around here and boy did he drink he drank like a man without a care or worry in the world I hope to finish this talk show one day I hope Michael stops talking suggest I hope people stop asking me to do stupid voice Oh [Music] you [Music]

  1. Must be a slap in the face to be asked to perform like a stage monkey. I wish they wouldn't lower themselves this way. Tell them… "You want to see that? watch the dam movie. I won't perform for free."

  2. Martin sheen played a president and now he thinks he knows how to be one
Morgan Freeman played god i hope he doesn't think he is one

  3. A lot of people mention Shawshank when talking about Freeman and rightfully so. But my personal favorite of both Freeman and Gene Hackman is Under Suspicion. Seeing two of the best all time actors at the top of their game and in a remarkable script is a thrill. As the movie unwinds the two actors feed off each other’s skills and every scene vaults over the preceding one as both expose their characters to their core. Almost two hours of the best that cinema offers. No CGI, no gunfights, no chase scenes. Just two masters doing what they do best

  4. I wonder what the reaction would have been had Michael Caine said, that's why Zulu did so well ? 😂

  5. Great TV. Sometimes only the English can pull of segments like this. If this was in America they would freeman re enacting the opening scene in 50 cents get rich or die tryin.

  6. Shawshank was a flop don't tell me that. It reflects that the west is as illetrate or more than the rest. It is a masterpiece

  7. How amazing , and lucky is Graham, to have Morgan Freeman reenact one of the greatest cinematic monologues ever delivered, on his couch!

  9. MR freeman, I would love to shake the hand of the Man who can see the truth in racism. From a white Man, you inspire me to keep on wit my purpose… to bring black and white closer together

  10. Great movie, Great man Morgan Freeman is the best he made Shawshank Redemption into one of the greatest movies of all time.

  11. I would love morgan freeman to narrate my life “he wokes up in the middle of the afternoon with no worries of the world”

  12. I was totally surprised to hear it tanked at the Box Office.
It is without a doubt one of cinema's masterpiece!

  13. Look ik it’s funny but how good would have it been without the audience laughing after every word he said🤣

  14. Talking of great movies…
    "The Dark Knight trilogy" …
    Michael Kaine as Alfred and
    Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox…
Two legends working with a legendary director!!!

  15. Sir Morgan still have that voice modulation which was in the movie happened 25 years ago. Iam an Indian surely know Hollywood a way ahead of that time. no film industries could ever be touched that height.

  16. If the man talks ..

You know you must listen and learn ..

Its wisdom combined with humor that can put anyone in a corner … or lifted up

Somehow he is a Magician one way or the other
