Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark Teaser Trailer #1 (2019) | Movieclips Trailers

This town has told stories about me. Horrible stories. But they don’t realize… …I have scary stories… …of my own. Sarah Bellows. Tell me a story. Sarah Bellows’ book. Where the stories… …write themselves and… …it all comes alive. You don’t read the book. The book reads you. I’m afraid I’m gonna die, Dad. We’re next. We’re next.

  1. The haunted house always got me. That image on page 30 freaked me out for weeks. When I finally manned-up and read through it I realized it was actually one of the best stories in the series.

  2. Ok so I read this book in 4th grade. The story that scared me was the vampire that ate that one girl?? Don’t remember it fully but I know he had yellow eyes and everytime a car drove by I thought of that

  3. I recently bought the books for a kid in the family cause hes psyched for the film. I went through a few of the shorts with him and honestly as an adult, theyre not that great lol. Some are downright stupid. Some are obviously great but the majority are kind of nonsense. the artwork makes these books what they are though.

  4. I read these books in elementary school and the ones I remember were the black hearse one, the one with the cars flashing, and the one with the one where the girl literally died of fright

  5. I have read all of the Scary Stories books,
So I'd would kind of be interested to see how it came out, but I'm too young and would probably get scared,
I just hope that it does the books justice

  6. I expected this film to be an anthology horror film along the lines of V/H/S, maybe keeping the plotline with the teens finding books curated by a mysterious individual, with each of those books containing some sort of dark, twisted story from the original book series. I understand how that would be too much like V/H/S, but an anthology format would have been the best way to do this at any rate.

    But no.

Now it's just monsters coming out of books and the awesome line "you don't read the book, the book reads you."

    Like they're in Soviet Russia.

  7. I do want all pet vet and doctor from all state to go see this movie and if they refuse then they give in to instrument lessons of their choice.
Don’t ask me because I saw the Youtube ad last night and I don’t get scared because I’m used to it. As well as America horror story and walking dead. 😁

  8. What about the girl who was peer pressured into going to the cemetery down the road and stabbing a knife in a grave?! That better be in this movie!

  9. Teacher: okay class. Grab any book read a chapter and write a short summary about what you read.

  15. Tbh this should’ve been R rated and been more sinister. It also shouldn’t have taken the cliche monster is actually a victim route.
