Top 10 Creepy Kids Movies

they were meant to entertain and delight instead they gave us nightmares welcome to and today we’re counting down our picks for the top 10 creepy kids movies for this list we’re taking a look at the children’s films that turned out to be slightly scary a little disturbing or altogether creepy they look like big good strong hands don’t they number 10 Dumbo oh we got the was building back make your stop a headliner maybe it’s the carnival setting maybe it’s the fact that the main character’s mother is locked up indefinitely but Dumbo pretty much maintains a feeling of creepy throughout its entire runtime I guess you had 101 left over add to that a scene where the big eared elephant and his Mouse friend to get drunk on champagne and start hallucinating and things get legitimately weird how often do Disney characters get blitzed on screen number nine Coraline Coraline makes no pretense about being a cutesy children’s film huh a little name that’s weird it’s a fantasy flick with nice stop-motion animation that makes it appealing to children but it’s a creep fest from start to finish sometimes they’ll come in my window and bring the little dead gaze the black button eyes on Quora lines parents in the alternate universe are enough to make you nope out of this movie and curl up in a ball you’re just in time for supper dear you’re not my mother but it’s a kids movie you got a safe face I’ll give you to the count of three one to number eight the peanut butter solution Mike feel my chin this one is more like a peanut butter laced night terror come on eat it Michael there are so many odd twists and turns for a children’s film including the ghosts of a couple that died in a fire young bald it ever-growing pubic hair and a sweatshop full of kidnapped children you better start making brushes we have to make 500 a day or we will eat who knew that something as simple as peanut butter could come with a whole host of disturbing imagery that must be crazy I love hair on my face on my hands number seven watership down you would think that a movie about cute rabbits looking for a new home would be harmless but you would be wrong you see the heir to the bed runs clock with dead bodies so Ross couldn’t get out everything to it lad the movie based on the novel may have bunnies but it also has bloody murder and rabbits fighting to the death there are also a number of scenes that have you wondering if they should have just skipped marketing this movie to kids altogether Bakley the pigs out feel free I think he’s gone we’ve got you help me a lake feel free number 6 labyrinth I can no dawdling King Goblin King wherever you may be take this child of mine far away from me there’s something about stolen babies and mask cotillion balls that adds a special touch of strange to a children’s film maybe it’s the puppets maybe it’s David Bowie stalking a teenager go back to your room play with your toys and your costumes but there’s a darkness throughout the film that makes it a little questionable not to mention who wants to be chased through an MC Escher painting by an 80s pop star oh you turn my world you precious bling you run so long number five the neverending story aside from the looming threat of world destruction there are a number of elements in this classic that make it a creepy delight Oh spin run away screaming from the murderous wolf out to kill the hero to a horse that literally drowns in a swamp of sadness our chance you’re sinking there are just so many things for parents to explain away there’s also some nipple action to usher us into puberty with a sly wink number four the Dark Crystal dark is definitely the operative term for this puppet based children’s film back Spithead the entire movie seems encased in shadows and the main puppet characters are just human looking enough to be disturbing their lives a gelfling jinn a Skeksis killed his family destroyed his clan only Jen survived to be raised by the wisest of the Mystics throwing scary-looking Skeksis villains on a quest to take over the world it’s time to make my move and you’ve got a creepy stew going it doesn’t help that one of the main characters gets stabbed to death but you’ve got to teach kids about manslaughter at some point number three the secret of NIMH it is four years since our departure from NIMH and our world is changing the real secret is that it will haunt a child’s dreams there are glowing owl eyes rats with homicidal intent and animals with human intelligence getting stabbed in the neck while there are plenty of cute mice and happy crows to keep the kids entertained watching rats plot to kill each other takes things in a different direction number two the witches there aren’t many children’s films that feature villains who basically just want to kill all children there’s nothing to be frightened of I just wanted to give you this but the witches makes no apologies for it something I think you’ll like based on a Roald Dahl book the film manages to feel like a dedicated horror pic watching a witch remove her face makes you wonder if everything you ever knew was a lie before we unveil our top pick here are a few honorable mentions yeah how dare you treat my friend so shapely are the fires of hell glowing is the grisly reaper mowing yes going for the roars keep on rowing and there’s certainly not number one return to Oz if you are expecting a happy shiny sequel to The Wizard of Oz you’ll be sorely disappointed by this cult classic the lollipop guild is replaced with disembodied heads a talking chicken ham sandwich glad it’s not fried checkup and a humanoid jack-o’-lantern that is just not cool my name’s Jack Jack Pumpkinhead there are also talking walls with demonic faces Oh Dorothy Gale from Kansas an evil King and kids receiving electroshock therapy ready Yes Doctor also also wheelers it seems like every now and then Disney likes to take a walk on the dark side what do you think do you 1. I watched coraline when I was 9 and know I’m 20 and I can’t forget it πŸ’”! I don’t think it’s a kid movie

  2. Labrynth is also supposed to be SCARY you IDIOTS!!!🀬🀬🀬🀬🀬😑😑

  3. I wanna be chased by David Bowie lol

Also: a little fear doesn't kill a kid. Its healthy. Its when you take it too far that it's a problem

  4. To this day, I think The Wiz was a port-o-potty of terror. The subway scene still makes me want to take the BUS.

  5. oh god….watership down….

but! the dark crystal is a amazing movie!!!!! as well as the secret of nimh!!!

  6. I always thought The Neverending Story was creepy, even when they played it in Sunday school, in a class with children when I was young. I never grasped how it was in any way connected to Jesus. In a protestant Christian private school I went to, they loved to replay the movie Rudy, about a kid who attended a Roman Catholic school, and wanted to be a football player. It was one of the few movies that was on the approved list (for whatever reason) and they kept playing it over and over. Truly, I just got sick of seeing that movie.

  8. Whats so creepy obout these they may be a bit weard but u cant complain. But the rabbit one is more like real life so u have no right to say that some peapoles favoret movies are creepy. If some one feels ofended by what i said then im sorry.

  9. Oh my god when I saw labyrinth on the list I was like I hope that the dark crystal because to me that was a creepy movie although I am a 90s kid and I love the labyrinth. The other movie that used to creep me out was James and the giant peach.

  10. Please tell me I am not the only one who loves Fantasia. The dinosaur scene in that move was scarier to me than Night on Bald Mountain. My dinosaur fears from that scene were not helped when I saw the Land Before Time when it came out and then they were shot through the roof when I saw Jurassic Park in the theater as a 12-year-old. I had dinosaur nightmares for years after that. LOL. Honestly, I Love Fantasia, the Neverending Story, the Secret of Nimh, and the Nightmare Before Christmas. Some of the best movies of my childhood!

  11. I pretty much dislike that this video gives the impression that any of the mentioned movies were "unintendedly creepy". Ofcourse do kids like creepy stories as well as adults do, and you obviously can't let them watch adult horror movies. So most of the mentioned movies are intended to be creepy or to have creepy moments. There are also movies mentioned that I am not pretty sure were even meant to be made for kids. The selection of the movies seems a bit odd, since you wouldnt select the "Lord of the Rings" animated movie as a kids movie, just because it's a toon. And I think the same applies to "Watership Down".

  12. I think kids should be exposed to scarier and more challenging visuals and ideas. The world is a scary place and children should be prepared for it

  13. hey the story that never ends was my fav movie when I was little, one and two, I still love it and still have it,
did anyone click only because they saw the thumb nail and said "I remember that! omg"

  14. how is the neverending story on the list. but the nightmare before christmas, fantasia, and willy wonka are only honorable mention?

  15. you put neverending story as creepy, who ever posted this shit is a tard. it is awesome movie, your creepy post person!!!!

  16. Thank u masters βœπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ•ŽπŸ˜»πŸ˜»πŸ€©πŸ€©πŸ€©πŸ€©πŸ₯°πŸ§žβ€β™‚οΈπŸ§œβ€β™€οΈπŸ§œβ€β™€οΈπŸ§›β€β™€οΈπŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ‚πŸ‘

  17. Oh man the labyrinth, i was about 12 when me and my siblings whatched it so much we decide to play the movie in mute and voice over, I played jareth, sir didymus and (till about hslf way) sarah but didnt know what to say for sarah so my sister took here roll we had sk much fun

  18. Oh my God, what a walk down Memory Lane! I've seen all of these and they are my favourite movies ever! I loved the "feeling" they would give me when I was a child. That creepiness and darkness and imagination in these were very attractive and entertaining to me. Still are!

  19. I thought, Something wicked this way comes, was a creepy kids movie. I remember my school playing it in class, because we did well on a test. I was like Whyyyyy!!!! Dear God whyyyyy!!!!!!

  20. I can't watch that scene in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when they're on the river boat. Not because it's scary (because it is scary), but because of the flashing screen.

  21. I love how you say Coraline came out in 1997 and literally right below it it's showing me an ad to buy this movie and it says 2009.

  22. I loved return to Oz. I remember the original Tom Thumb film being very dark when I was a kid. Maybe 1 that has been overlooked on this list

  23. You just made me remember an American Tail and… oh gosh what was it… Once Upon A Forest!! Oh my god I can’t believe I remembered that! That movie was so weird and I watched it so much!
