Using Nails vs. Hooks with the Hang & Level Picture Hanging Tool

Welcome to another how-to video. In this segment, we’re going to show you how to hang pictures using Déco Nails™, regular
nails and picture and picture hangers. For more wall decorating tips, visit us at utrdecorating.com. In a previous segment, we showed you how to mark exactly where the nail or hook goes using Hang & Level™. If you are using a Déco Nail™, hammer the nail directly into the mark at a 90 degree angle until the back of the head is flush against the wall. If you are using a regular nail, hammer directly into the mark, but at a 45 degree angle. If you are using a picture hanger, place the bottom of the hanger on the mark and hammer the nail into the hanger. For more great videos in this series, visitus online at utrdecorating.com.

  1. Great tips. Only problem with hooks is that they slip a little down the wall as you hammer them in. It'll work for general positioning but if you're lining up pictures or have to be super precise it can be very challenging to get the position right.

  2. I am in the process of trying to order two small sampler packs and one large one, but your site is a bit challenging to manipulate with Pay Pal being used. Hopefully I can get that approved and make my order complete. We shall see how they work once I get past dealing with your site and PayPal as to purchasing any.
